If you are a paramedic or a paramedic student who has completed their clinicals and has a guaranteed "ride" for internship, the testing process will also include an Advanced Life Support Assessment.
The ALS Assessment is a hands-on medical call scenario designed to test a paramedic’s knowledge of, and ability to execute, the tasks associated with a cardiac arrest response. It conforms to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) standards for a cardiac arrest (Mega-code).
The ALS Assessment is $45.
ALS Assessment is conducted on the same dates and locations as written testing, depending on the need.
